The author created a seminar on Orthodox ecclesiology and presented it to nine parish priests who in turn instructed nine different groups of parish council members. Evaluative methods included surveys, field notes, and expert evaluations. There was sufficient data to suggest that the seminar had a positive impact on the participants' level of understanding regarding the characteristics and aims of leadership in an Orthodox Christian context."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127711636258816,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:48:15.991Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:14:13Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:34:19Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"402bd219-3f57-415b-946a-9bf680641dbd","accessControl_ssim":["bf4b9e87-c222-4883-9a0f-ef29a782b255"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A pedagogical paradigm for leadership training in a postmodern mega-church context"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:14:12Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:59:40Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2f8f84e8-2a9f-41b5-be94-f9403388486c"],"hasLease_ssim":["5b7b8b33-dac0-45ff-add8-5e49abcb9b3e"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Andrew Purves"],"year_tesim":["2010"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Joan Prentice"],"publisher_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church--History of doctrines","Big churches"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This paper presents a theological premise for understanding of the Church as it exists in Christ and its participation within the perichoretic relationship of the Triune God. The model is drawn from the interrelatedness and interpenetration of the three divine persons of the Godhead and the Church's reality within that relationship. It sets forth a theology that is relational, and allows for a Christology, pneumatology and ecclesiology that is expressed in praxis. It is relational and missional in its outcome and situates a primordial understanding of the Church as an ontological and organic reality."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126837522333696,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:34:22.371Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:57:15Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:49:26Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"fb029760-75d0-4eaa-838f-8ca773ec6003","accessControl_ssim":["71d3f534-d795-43db-b811-07ea1ca5d84e"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A study of the seminary and priesthood experience of thirteen resigned Roman Catholic priests"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:57:14Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:18:20Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["13b5ca71-89b2-4719-9ccd-7b237ac75475"],"hasLease_ssim":["92366882-9b42-44b2-9fc9-f1d7bbb086a7"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Gordon E Jackson"],"year_tesim":["1984"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John E Haag"],"publisher_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Celibacy","Church--History of doctrines","Catholic ex-priests","Authority--Religious aspects","Clergy--Training of"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This case study reports the seminary and priesthood experience of thirteen resigned diocesan priests ordained after 1960.  The number and rate of resignations and a review of the literature provide context.  Analysis of the interview data reveals consensus regarding the seminary's failure to encourage personal maturity, an overall positive experience of priesthood and problems with the institutional church in areas of authority and celibacy. The researcher speculates that the conflict between the respondents' idealized image of church and their lived experience weakened their commitment to a celibate priesthood.  Further research, dialogue, education for maturity and pastoral care are recommended."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127788865978368,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:49:29.643Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"James S Katinas","hits":1,"label":"James S Katinas"},{"value":"Joan Prentice","hits":1,"label":"Joan Prentice"},{"value":"John E Haag","hits":1,"label":"John E Haag"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Relation (Theology)","hits":1,"label":"Relation (Theology)"},{"value":"Theology, Orthodox Eastern","hits":1,"label":"Theology, Orthodox Eastern"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Church--History of doctrines","hits":3,"label":"Church--History of doctrines"},{"value":"Authority--Religious aspects","hits":1,"label":"Authority--Religious aspects"},{"value":"Big churches","hits":1,"label":"Big churches"},{"value":"Catholic ex-priests","hits":1,"label":"Catholic ex-priests"},{"value":"Celibacy","hits":1,"label":"Celibacy"},{"value":"Christian education","hits":1,"label":"Christian education"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1984","hits":1,"label":"1984"},{"value":"2010","hits":1,"label":"2010"},{"value":"2013","hits":1,"label":"2013"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
