For one such container, this paper explores the Eucharistic Meal, an adaptive re-integration of the symbolic Eucharistic ritual with shared communal meals, inspired by early Church gatherings. The COVID-19 pandemic introduced technology usage to Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church. This paper describes the demographic, economic and historical context of the congregation. Then, it explores definitions of Christian community, with an emphasis on boundaries that shape Christian communities. It continues considering Old and New Testament Scriptures as they relate to community formation. The three-fold purpose of this project was to engage participants in: 1) reflection upon biblical, theological and experiential dimensions of the Lord's Supper; 2) The planning of communion liturgy; and 3) experiences of 'communion as community' through celebration of the eucharist.  The author led a series of four 'Didactics and Discussion' sessions in which he presented research on communion theology and history that enabled group discussion.  Two eucharistic liturgies were planned and enacted.
