Participants individually prayed three groups of Psalms each day for 20 days during Advent 2023, including the Lord’s Prayer. Participants then completed open-ended surveys and discussed the experience in a focus group. This project explored ways of revitalizing Repentance in the parish setting through a parish-wide education program. The project consisted of a sermon series, Sunday school family retreat and adult education opportunity. The author created a seminar on Orthodox ecclesiology and presented it to nine parish priests who in turn instructed nine different groups of parish council members. Evaluative methods included surveys, field notes, and expert evaluations. Three additional tracks were started beyond theology, including youth ministry, musicology and iconology. This facilitated a tremendous program growth, including in the number and percentage of women. Students volunteered to participate in a project that offered course and thesis support, counseling, fellowship and prayer. This was done via telephone, internet and standard mail. Surveys and numerous other contacts identified demographics as well as student ministry goals, program satisfaction and student stated program needs. The study concluded that student support services would enhance distance learning theological education. This project will explore ways of sharing and applying canonical aspects of the sacraments of the Orthodox Church in a parish setting. Through sacraments the faithful get closer to God and are blessed with the power of the Holy Spirit. There were twelve couples in attendance, four already married between 6 months and thirty years and eight unmarried couples. The couples already married enjoyed sharing and caught some of the enthusiasm from the couples preparing for marriage, while the unmarried couples enjoyed the mix as well. The author believes that the marriage rite best expresses the theology of marriage in the Orthodox Church, and makes a very good 'text book' for marriage preparation. During the retreat, we began with an introduction offering an Orthodox vision of marriage, followed by a line by line study of the rite. Communication skills were also taught, using the theology expressed in the rite. Because of the limitations of this project the specific areas covered are limited to the pastoral rites of healing.  In addition to the given rites, a survey of clergy, with episcopal guidance, was used to gather information.
