Where two or more are gathered together as the Body of Christ there are differing opinions and the potential for conflict. The author researched the biblical, theological and spiritual perspectives of the process and ministry of reconciliation. The research culminated in a study of reconciliation with members of a non-conflictual church. The result of the study was two-fold. The participants acquired a detailed definition and understanding of the process of reconciliation from a personal perspective as well as within the church. Lesbians, a group which experiences a dual alienation (as women and as homosexual people), were the project's target group.  The two phases of the study were 1) the development of a planning team from the alienated which developed the encounter experience, and 2) the actual self encounter.
