The church has endured years of decline and internal strife.Incorporating data collected from congregational surveys, focus group feedback, and personal interviews, this study demonstrates that having the Lord’s Supper every week for twelve weeks resulted in a measurable improvement in the congregation’s sense of unity, as well as an increased sense of God’s presence in the worship services. The author believes faithful Christian witness is linked in a bilateral relationship to spiritual growth. He explores the themes of sanctification and witness primarily from the perspective of his Wesleyan heritage. The paper describes an eight week course, a many faceted, several month program and a network of small groups within a 700 member congregation.
