The methodology used included an opening survey, four weeks of historical and theological study, two weeks of liturgical and biblical comparison, two weeks of practical application, and a final evaluation.  The research revealed the lack of liturgical understanding and connection of many adult Byzantine Catholics. It addressed the common lack of security and certainty in the spiritual lives of elderly believers.  Using narrative form and the text's own poetic imagery, the presentation communicated both cognitively and intuitively the heart of Scripture as a means of cultivating assurance and hope in Christ in those whose rational faculties are diminishing.  The study was evaluated by personal observation and by both formal and informal interviews. Through a series of remembering sessions with the congregation, stories, and memories were gathered.  From these stories and memories four factors of growth and three factors of decline were identified. The paper posits that changes in the understanding of ordination led to changes in expectation, hence conflict around the pastor.  A survey instrument was developed, sent to 91 persons, and 35 responded. One hundred potential laborers were invited to become active in a specific ministry and sixty-two persons agreed. The survey and its results are printed and examined in this work.  Findings in this survey conclude that there is a direct relationship between adult/teen relationships and teen behavioral outcomes. The study examines evidence of links between alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking and other risk taking behaviors.  This project identifies the many issues confronting Orthodox Christians teens.
