The thesis was, God impacts and transforms Samaritan volunteers through face to face encounters with the migrant, 'Jesus.' The research included interviewing eight participants who gave 'testimonios' that documented evidence of transformation. The evidence parallels Mark's Gospel where Jesus called people to follow his 'Way' that ultimately transformed all areas of a person's life. For this project the author celebrated the Lord's Supper during his church's regular service for six consecutive weeks. Special attention was given to the use of music, multimedia, and liturgy so the flow of worship would move the congregants to celebration of the sacrament. The research project invited participants to take nature photographs and reflect on them with a scripture passage, prayer or devotional thought. Each participant presented their photos and spiritual reflections to a study group for discussion. How might this reality affect corporate worship? A random group of 10 individuals from a local church participated in a two day workshop. They compared the role of the high priest in the O.T. to the role of Jesus Christ as the sole mediator between humankind and God. They also compared the worship of the triune God to the current worship practices in their church. The project combined current research on marriage and family resiliency, theological reflection on the meaning of marriage and the call to ministry, and an experiential learning model.
