The project was a one day workshop presented at least once on each of the local, district, and national levels of the denomination. Participants were given the opportunity to discover their spiritual gifts by use of the 'Wagner Modified Houts Questionnaire'. In chapter one he describes the church, using both subjective and objective indicators ro renewal.  In chapter two he gives a theological foundation based on Jesus as servant.  In chapter three he presents a design for renewal that includes a sermon series, education class series, and a retreat.  Chapter four is an evaluation. Results were mixed.  To an extent the church developed a spirit of risk and a vision of community service. The project reports on a pilot study in which seven congregations participated in an organ donation educational program.  The author developed the program and trained the pastors to teach the program in the seven congregations.  One hundred thirty participant questionnaires were returned.  Sixty-five percent of the respondents reported that they had talked with their families about organ donation. Through preaching and teaching, this project attempts to educate the congregation of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg, Pennsylvania about the Book of Confessions and the Reformed tradition. Fourteen sermons are preached, based on the sections of the Heidelberg Catechism that deal with the Apostles' Creed.  A thirteen-session class on the Book of Confessions is held. The project uses a variety of ministries modeled after the compassion of Jesus manifest in the gospels.
