The project involved studies, church library resources, sermons and Psalms, historical services, and church newsletter articles on worship history. There were controversies over the inception of a worship committee, the question of using wine instead of the current grape juice for communion, the frequency of communion, and inclusive language for God. Changes took place in weddings, church funerals, baptisms, and the regular Sunday liturgy."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127015616675840,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:37:12.214Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:43:42Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:47:08Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"db0af294-b42a-4241-93a8-043030ce6f45","accessControl_ssim":["e55a04d5-bd91-424d-9d52-abc1b0edfa9b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Reuniting a theologically divided church by helping its charismatic and traditional U Methodist members work together as the body of Christ"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:43:41Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:23:46Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ab008a5f-62b1-4322-bbaa-ab95dc4d253e"],"hasLease_ssim":["bae2f65c-ceda-42a1-a8da-f1ca0e95bc29"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Harjie Likins"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Charles R Echols"],"publisher_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Pentecostalism","Wesley, John, 1703-1791","Conflict management","Preaching","United Methodist Church","Church group work","Mystical body of Jesus Christ"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["A charismatic minority polarized and took over the official power of a 250 member United Methodist Church.
