The method used was to analyze a questionnaire sent to 685 students in 7 of these mission schools.  The author found problems in government policy, Christian commitment among faculty and spiritual development of the students due to the competition to enter the top universities. Most confirmation experiences involve youth in early adolescence.  Yet studies indicate these same youth often 'drop out' of the church 3-5 years later.  Why?  This dissertation is an attempt to answer this question and seek an educational approach to help a confirmation experience be more effective.  The approach used is one developed by Christian educator Thomas Groome and is known as 'shared Christian praxis.' A microcomputer simulation on hunger was prepared and tested in junion high church school classes. Half the classes used a computerized simulation, half a similar noncomputer simulation.  Students and teachers evaluated the simulations.  Both groups enjoyed and appreciated the simulations.  Students were challenged to think about hunger issues.  Teachers found the computerized simulation easy to use and were willing to do other simulations. This project researches, designs, and carries out an experiential adult seminar on sacramental healing ministries.  The author discovers that adult experiential education for sacramental healing ministries provides a link between the ministry of Jesus, the early church and the contemporary situation. Death anxiety is reviewed in the literature and critically examined in the approaches of Becker, Lifton, and Yalom; and from a biblical-theological perspective.  A curriculum was developed for adult education on death and dying.
