The artists adapted their art forms from secular society. Church architecture largely originated from traditional culture. One might conclude that Christian art has some Minjung elements. Korea has a rich cultural background with diverse, excellent artistic achievements.  Yet many Christian artists still are holding a conservative attitude influenced by Western thought patterns.  It is time to de-westernize Christian art in Korea. It bases its argument on cultural factors, biblical history and narrative theology.  The study includes these components: 1) understanding evangelism; 2) a biblical perspective on evangelism; 3) building a case for the use of story; 4) story and Hawai'i's multi-cultural people; 5) evangelism approaches in Hawai'i; 6) story: a new paradigm for evangelism; and 7) talk-story evangelism: a practical evangelism approach for Hawai'i. When people are strongly committed to pursuing this dream and at the same time seek to pattern their lives according to the principles of Christianity, they experience some degree of dissonance -- tension and conflict which is often unresolvable.  This project explores dissonance as a phenomenon through a case study of one man and uses a series of lived moments. Pursuing the American dream and following Jesus Christ, though difficult, are not necessarily antithetical. The project searched and analyzed the problem of ancestral worship through a questionnaire which was addressed to the ministers in rural, urban, and metropolitan areas.
