The project in particular examines the CRC's need to fulfill the 'Great Commission'--a study that can be applied to other denominations.  The project describes in detail the theological conflict between recent traditional Reformed missiology and evangelistic necessity.  This conflict provides a breeding ground for complacency and inwardness, and it further retards the mission that the church intends to promote. The methodology includes a study of the pertinent records of related judicatories and their agents, interviews of knowledgeable persons, a survey of presbyters using a standard instrument and a comparative statistical analysis of membership and financial data.
