The project analyzes congregational innovations that blend what is central to Reformed worship with liturgical styles from the 'creative,' 'praise and worship,' and 'high liturgical' traditions, using a participant-observer study method.  The underlying theological and liturgical question raised by each blended liturgy centers around the Reformed notion of 'freedom in form.' How much freedom is allowable? How much form is required? Included are worship services for a women's retreat, the heavy-laden Christmas, a women's Lenten program, a wedding anniversary, high school graduates and their parents, and four Sunday mornings.  The methodology includes a study of Reformed worship and scripture, theological reflection, theme development, informing liturgy, and sharing ideas for sermon development.  The most powerful implication of this diverse study upon the local pastorate is that many common life experiences may become opportunities for worship, and enable the laity to be dynamically involved in preparing Reformed worship."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799717914778009600,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:25:52.100Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Kerry M Enright","hits":1,"label":"Kerry M Enright"},{"value":"Sylvia C Guinn-Ammaus","hits":1,"label":"Sylvia C Guinn-Ammaus"},{"value":"William B Munroe","hits":1,"label":"William B Munroe"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Worship--Study and teaching","hits":3,"label":"Worship--Study and teaching"},{"value":"Clergy","hits":1,"label":"Clergy"},{"value":"Culture","hits":1,"label":"Culture"},{"value":"Hospitality--Religious aspects--Christianity","hits":1,"label":"Hospitality--Religious aspects--Christianity"},{"value":"Keifert, Patrick R","hits":1,"label":"Keifert, Patrick R"},{"value":"Laity","hits":1,"label":"Laity"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[{"value":"New Zealand","hits":1,"label":"New Zealand"}],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1989","hits":1,"label":"1989"},{"value":"1996","hits":1,"label":"1996"},{"value":"1997","hits":1,"label":"1997"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
