A cross-section of leaders from the New Mount Olive Baptist Church served as participants in a case study.  An analysis of the leadership styles and the organizational culture within the New Mount Olive Baptist Church was performed through the administering of questionnaires, a professionally designed Leadership Inventory, and a Congregational Systems Study.  Findings suggest that existing ministry leaders were unclear about role expectations and lacked effective training.  Additionally, emerging leaders were not being identified and engaged in ministry.  The project demonstrated that the development of a comprehensive training module designed to teach quality and excellence would better identify, train and develop ministry leaders. The project provides analysis of the relationship between prayer, faith and the sovereignty of God and the goal of prayer. The project used preaching, small groups and prayer journals as project methods. Chapter 1 helps the reader understand the context of the community and the characteristics of the church where this project was conducted. It also includes a listing of the goals to be achieved. Chapter 2 examines the biblical, theological, and historical issues relevant to lay ministry. Old and New Testament texts present the basis for lay ministry. The theological issues addressed are the priesthood of believers, the role of spiritual giftedness, and the dynamics of expository preaching. Examination of the historical scene goes from the New Testament gospels to the early fourth century. Chapter 3 focuses on the dynamics of team development and team work. Also included are four benefits of team ministry. Chapter 4 is the presentation of the project as it moved through the process of team selection, development, and training. However, this project focuses exclusively on the stewardship of our finances. In summary, chapter 1 of the project provides introductory and background material on the context in which the project was implemented.  It also provides a rationale for the project.  Chapter 2 examines the biblical, theological and historical principles and practices of financial stewardship.  Chapter 3 discusses the sociological, psychological and motivational aspects of philanthropy, as well as offers a few ideas about the ways we are motivated to give in the Scriptures. After a series of sermons from humorous texts, hearers of various personality types were tested to assess awareness of biblical humor and the achievement of pedagogical benefits. The project includes comprehensive guidance on (1) developing a quality mentoring program; (2) recruiting, training and supporting older male mentors, and (3) evaluating the results. This project is a cooperative model in which both the mentor and the mentee are obligated to one another and each is responsible to God. Chapter 1 introduces the ministry project by discussing the purpose, goals, context, and rationale for teaching Bible doctrine to the church.  Chapter 2 presents a study of the historical and biblical issues of teaching bible doctrine.  Contemporary learning techniques and their impact on expository preaching are addressed in chapter 3.  Chapter 4 describes the ministry action plan for teaching six major doctrines to the church through twelve expository sermons. Chapter 1 addresses the issue of fatherlessness. Chapter 2 investigates the theological foundation of the father, looking at both Old and New Testament. Chapter 5 focuses on the evaluation of this project. While ministering to churches, this writer discovered conflicts caused by disharmony among three groups in a church.  Those three were: interracially married group, students abroad group, and immigrants family group.  The interracially married group is 50% of total church members.  This group has some ardent will to serve the Lord and to devote themselves to a church; however, they hurt easily and have had difficulty in harmonizing with other church members.  So, they easily abandon their dedication in church ministries due to self-guilt and self-consciousness.  Some leave the church and quit their fellowship with other church members.  This writer discovered a connection between these problems and self-guilt in interracially married women. In Korean culture there has been prejudice about interracial marriages, regarding it as shameful with regard to an unitary nation and related to prejudice connected with prostitutes.  This was a kind of cultural conflict in Korean society.    The shame from this prejudice developed into low self-esteem, causing problems in church, social, and family activities. Therefore, they could no enjoy normal life in church or society.  This writer researched this project aware of many serious problems in Korean churches in the States.    Chapter 1 is a synopsis of the thesis.  Chapter 2 presents problems and solutions of interracially married women's self-esteem in the Bible.  Chapter 3 deals with the prejudice of Korean culture regarding interracial marriage.  Chapter 4 introduces practical worship in relation to interracially married women.  Chapter 5 examines and evaluates the results of Chapter 4 and suggests implications for further
