There were two broad objectives that the project worked to attain. The first was that the church members would work to better understand and minister to the needs of its community. The second was to involve the community in helping to share the Gospel. Both goals were accomplished through the planning and implementation of a camp meeting. Each member of the group signs a contract to fulfill specific prayer responsibilities. In a Saturday morning seminar and five Sunday evening sessions the group studies basic elements of prayer and use of a prayer journal. The group then divides into four teams of three members each, and the teams meet for prayer one Sunday evening a month. The group meets periodically for sharing, prayer, accountability, and evaluation.
