The men meet together once, dividing into two smaller groups that each meet twice. From 300 pages of verbatim transcripts of these meetings, six themes emerge: loss, longing, search, journey, connection, new life. Through the lens of transformative learning theory the project interviews in depth several Canadian lay ministers who are professionally trained and extensively experienced in their work.
