Nine individuals were asked what made them receptive to the charismatic experience. Common influence factors were identified which the group members shared and which made them receptive to the charismatic experience. With these influence factors identified, the closing chapter of this thesis suggests ways in which the leadership may strategically orchestrate them to make their parish likewise receptive to the charismatic experience without unduly disturbing the parish membership."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799719581103685632,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:52:21.232Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:18:57Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:39:18Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"7dfa91e0-8951-4731-955a-943e7446a9a5","accessControl_ssim":["11d4169c-2bed-4c4a-a2ad-04ab248baf6f"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Facing the neo-Gnostic trends in a small PCA congregation in West Texas"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:18:56Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:50:58Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["05db2ae8-c910-45c1-b233-83ae9eb3d754"],"hasLease_ssim":["7e856877-0132-4706-8c5c-ccd1b6a23623"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA)"],"advisor_tesim":["Justyn Terry"],"year_tesim":["2007"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Michael W Philliber"],"keyword_tesim":["Jesus Christ--Divinity"],"publisher_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry"],"subject_tesim":["Interfaith relations","Presbyterian Church in America","Christianity","Gnosticism","Jesus Christ","Historicity of Jesus Christ"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study examines the ability of a small West Texas congregation to respond to neo-Gnosticism's challenges to the deity of Christ and the historical, authoritative reliability of the connonical gospels. The Book of Jude is used as an example of dealing with Gnosticism's influence on the congregation. Then an historical analysis of Irenaeus's christology in his anti-Gnostic work shows the importance of affirming the deity of the historical Jesus when addressing Gnostic trends. This thesis concludes that the remedy for the congregation is to emphasize the historically grounded doctrine that Jesus Christ is the sui generis Son of God."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127152428580864,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:39:22.689Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:28:02Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:19:19Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c9878f1e-f4fd-4229-be5d-0106062bf9ac","accessControl_ssim":["19299863-aa6d-4ab0-a334-b143b1e8d98c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Recovery of a Biblical worldview in a postmodern context informed by the Hebrew Scriptures as enhanced by graced interaction between gentile and Messianic Jewish Faith communities"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:28:02Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:55:07Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["63500d97-9513-45df-acf7-7687ed14bfd1"],"hasLease_ssim":["5c6dc1fa-dc00-47a7-9a5e-9cb9b944c55d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA)"],"advisor_tesim":["Jerry Smith"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Nicholas A Marziani"],"publisher_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry"],"subject_tesim":["Messianic Judaism","Judaism","Interfaith relations","Christianity","Bible--Study"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study investigates focused and intentional interaction between Gentile and Messianic Jewish believers on the ability of Gentile Christians to appropriate and apply Hebrew biblical canon. The thesis is that short-term missions can challenge a person's worldview, increase prayer life, and provide an overall commitment to the Great Commission.
