Sessions were completed with the leadership group over an eight-month period using some of the principles of participatory action research. Research methods included surveys, group sessions, Barton’s Personal Reflection exercises and questions, and my personal observations. The author studied six participants as they progressed through ACLDM by engaging in three phases of learning while in consultation with three supporting parties to determine if leadership growth occurred. The methodology used was primarily qualitative research and used methods of survey, observation and guided interviews to collect data. The research indicated that every participant experienced perceived growth while going through ACLDM.
