A qualitative approach using participatory observation, surveys, journaling, and spiritual formation lessons and activities was utilized. The project suggests that within the context of a church credit union a consumer education program can bring about an awareness of stewardship, savings and community interdependence."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128488927821824,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:00:37.273Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:55:28Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:53:44Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"3d1731ec-f3b2-4105-8a2b-597d9259a103","accessControl_ssim":["a4ae0cbe-946d-4f58-a252-85fcf20e2402"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A collaborative model for economic development in the African American church: establishment of the super community development corporation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:55:28Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:53:59Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["20b24bb3-1aa5-4575-9c92-246bbbde2f5d"],"hasLease_ssim":["28827a7c-cc45-4ab0-92c6-237712d6ddfa"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["W Franklyn Richardson","Wyatt Tee Walker"],"year_tesim":["2001"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Dwight C Jones"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Church and social problems","African Americans--Economic conditions","African Americans--Social conditions"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This work offers a paradigm for economic development in the African American community. Whereas, persons in our neighborhoods suffer a myriad of social oppressions, the church lacks in her persuasiveness to arrest such evils because oftentimes she too is caught in the deadly clutches of spiritual bondage. A seven-part sermon series, critical reflective workshops, and didactic experiences enabled members of the Christ Cathedral Baptist Church of Detroit, Michigan, to actively participate and question self ills. Results of the model were evaluated by qualitative analysis and showed participants actualizing more meaningful spirituality."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127792660774912,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:49:33.261Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":9,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Alfred Maurice Nicholson","hits":1,"label":"Alfred Maurice Nicholson"},{"value":"Angela M Edwards","hits":1,"label":"Angela M Edwards"},{"value":"Cornelius Elroy Battle","hits":1,"label":"Cornelius Elroy Battle"},{"value":"Dwight C Jones","hits":1,"label":"Dwight C Jones"},{"value":"Irene Taylor","hits":1,"label":"Irene Taylor"},{"value":"Joseph Earl Simmons","hits":1,"label":"Joseph Earl Simmons"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Church and community","hits":1,"label":"Church and community"},{"value":"Church and community--Case studies","hits":1,"label":"Church and community--Case studies"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"African Americans--Social conditions","hits":9,"label":"African Americans--Social conditions"},{"value":"African Americans--Economic conditions","hits":8,"label":"African Americans--Economic conditions"},{"value":"African American churches","hits":2,"label":"African American churches"},{"value":"Economics--Religious aspects--Christianity","hits":2,"label":"Economics--Religious aspects--Christianity"},{"value":"Finance, Personal","hits":2,"label":"Finance, Personal"},{"value":"African American Methodists","hits":1,"label":"African American Methodists"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":9,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary (OH)","hits":8,"label":"United Theological Seminary (OH)"},{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":9,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"2003","hits":3,"label":"2003"},{"value":"1997","hits":2,"label":"1997"},{"value":"1986","hits":1,"label":"1986"},{"value":"2000","hits":1,"label":"2000"},{"value":"2001","hits":1,"label":"2001"},{"value":"2005","hits":1,"label":"2005"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":9,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":9,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":9,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":9,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":9,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
