The study highlights four themes: the decision to share the diagnosis with others, loss, the need for support from one's faith community, and commitment. These workshops were designed to foster continuing education and personal growth relating to grief and anger issues faced in the hospital context.  Preworkshop and postworkshop questionnaires were used to gather information.  The preworkshop questionnaires showed an adequate understanding of both anger and grief.
