Using the participant/observer approach, all participants kept daily journals, answered a questionnaire, and weekly meetings were taped. This project found individuals feeling closer to God, gender response differences, and occasionally, typical Appalachian responses. The methodology required identification of personnel needs, equipment needs, start-upcosts, marketing plan, referral methods, and origination of printed forms.  Methodology was tested, refined, and evaluated during actual mediations.
