Chapter one describes the post-Vatican II Catholic identity controversy. Chapter two explores the inclusive spirit of Vatican II as the theological foundation for this model of ministry. Chapter three describes the learning design incorporating five Catholic identity themes that enable inclusive exploration of Catholic identity. Chapter four discusses the results of an evaluation experience in which participants sampled activities from the curriculum. Chapter five identifies recommendations for further development. Local church teachers participated in an individual and group reflection process  based on Thomas Groome's 'shared praxis' approach.  Pre- and post-process measurements indicated an increase in the teachers' valuing of their own faith experience, satisfaction in teaching and sense of purpose of teaching.
