The goal of the project is to develop material that can be used in congregations and by individuals for study and reflection on the subject of money in corporate and individual life. The purpose of this project is two-fold. First, to offer research and evaluation for the seminary/academic community on the subject of our internal, personal relationship with money and the human behaviors that result from that relationship. Second, to offer a theological and theoretical framework for every audience by which to approach the various narratives. It is hoped this information will have an underlying usefulness for the church as it articulates faithful responses to such theological issues as stewardship and economic justice. The project included surveys to members, new members and members that seldom participate to discover how they experience the caring ministry of the congregation.  The results disclosed a need to be more intentional in building community.  Leaders are encouraged to engage members and visitors in conversation.  New events were held that focused on relationship building. Leaders are deepening their relationships through the use of check-in questions at regular meetings.  All members are encouraged to be a welcoming presence. Presents an interfaith model for how the teachings and practices of the Buddhist traditions might be utilized by Christians in their own spiritual development. This model is based on a 'Spiritual Formation Guidebook' designed around the framework of the Buddhist Noble Eightfold Path and including corresponding Christian insights. A sampling of laity, clergy, and seminary professors used the guidebook for one month and then provided their overwhelmingly positive evaluations. The Service of Remembrance and Consecration provides an avenue for the staff and residents to mourn and to prepare for a new resident's arrival.  The Welcoming Ceremony facilitates the second phase of the transition in which a new resident becomes part of the nursing home community. Surveys went to clergy, and to inter-denominational families assessing the impact of denominational identity, prevalence, acceptance of inter-denominational families, the influence of congregational size, ministerial attitude, and individual family perceptions. Three findings resulted. First, participating inter-denominational families were long-time or life-time members of their faith communities. Second, inter-denominational families are present in most churches regardless of size or denomination, and they garner spiritual enrichment from all church communities in which they participate. The author explores a theological understanding of forgiveness and the psychological dimension of forgiveness from a pastoral care giver's perspective.  Using a model developed by Robert Enright from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, the author develops a pastoral approach to forgiveness.
