The author studied definition and theological understanding of communication, dialogical preaching as communication, and theological foundation of dialogical preaching. He suggested four methods/models of dialogical preaching in Life Stream Church. The analysis suggests that preacher can more effectively transmit well Word of God to congregation. Congregation also more understand and meet with God's word. They make an effort themselves to practice words of God in their real life. Self help advice versus God centered instruction: can biblical expositional preaching provide answers for contemporary issues?"],"abstract_tesim":["In today's culture, it seems as if the voice of the therapeutic culture is louder and having more validity than the word of God.  As the pastor of the historic Tabernacle Baptist Church in Augusta, GA, the author was able to ask the question: can biblical expositional preaching help a multigenerational church steeped in therapeutic culture deal with contemporary issues?  A case study was produced where first the author developed a focus group to develop the contemporary issues that were important to the congregation as well as a survey to identify the top contemporary issues to be highlighted in a sermon series preached at Tabernacle Baptist Church.  After the sermon series, those who participated in the initial survey were asked to participate in a follow-up survey to see if the preaching was helpful in dealing with contemporary issues. Conversely, an effectively managed pastoral persona can actually aid in the communication of a message.  This project explores the issue and offers strategies for effectively managing pastoral persona.  The project surveys scholarship on the subject of rhetoric, a study of celebrity preachers, and the results of two focus groups held to explore issues of pastoral persona with mid career pastors and with seminary students. But how does the church speak its beliefs to those who refer to listen?  In this paper, the author suggests the use of music, designs a worship service comprised completely of music teaching a theology of restorative justice, and studies the reaction of people who hear the music. A project involving the use of sermon feedback groups set up in six local churches is described. The sermon feedback experience is analyzed from both the perspective of the clergy and lay participants.
