Individuals were invited to participate in a study that dispelled strongly held feelings of distrust. Process for planned change was used to foster inclusion. Bible study sessions encouraged a reflection on God, a joint worship service was culturally inclusive, and an economic forum increased knowledge of financial empowerment. Beginning with a theological and historical look at aging, the project/thesis analyzes the relationship of Asbury to the church, a working paper which was presented to the board, and the design of a model of integration that is grounded in Asbury's statement of mission.
