There is concern about the best course of action to address the challenges of the Church.  Building on the work of scholars, this paper examines the need for the Church to adapt in order to reach a new generation. The culture and challenge of the new paradigm church is explored through historical influences.  The theological framework is the theology of theosis as expressed in transcendence and beauty.  Jerome Berryman's model for children's worship (Godly play) shows how through creativity and play children experience spirituality as transcendence and awe. The methodology of this technique will be transferred to adult ministry.
