Membership levels, participation, and financial giving and support are shifting. Congregations often struggle to keep up with the rate of the change. This project examines classic staffing models, situations where downsizing has taken place, and a process for addressing staff transition times strategically. These help to address the challenge of how congregations can adjust with grace and thrive in the face of declining resources and changing realities.[Note about entry: Abstract submitted to the Atla RIM database on behalf of the author. The author studies panentheism as a theological foundation for appreciative inquiry, a strengths-focused organizational change model. He describes his journey of implementing this method and coaching his congregation toward what is possible. He also shares lessons learned along the way, most importantly that all a church needs to become its best is within it now."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716076627427328,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:56:39.103Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:47:59Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:14:01Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"a6be691e-19a4-465b-8671-268a52f52240","accessControl_ssim":["c50c3acd-5843-46aa-b031-99418f686c66"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Naming, seeing, and speaking: a congregation's journey to liberation and a new way of being"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:47:58Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:58:21Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fc5c7e0a-e609-4909-ae9f-7be05ed790ea"],"hasLease_ssim":["265c8fb9-a64e-41a7-b46a-fd6b63975c0a"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lewis A Parks"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min.
