What kind of engagement with sermons, liturgies, and bible study will help 21st century western Christians recover this lost practice? In this project, the author outlines a five week study experience designed to introduce participants to lament, and help them experience it using bible study, responsive prayer, bibliodrama, and song. Participants from five churches took part in the program. Be that as it may, would a certain deathless life be truly happy? The human being is an existence that ultimately ends up dying. The Bible offers two perspectives on interpretation of death: (1) Death is a natural process of life under God's creation order. (2) Death is the consequence of sin. Although death is irresistible, only if we reflect on and prepare will for, it may turn out to be of dignity - even further, of beauty. This study aims to help Christian believers who will someday meet the process of dying to reflect on the truth that death is not an object of fear and horror, and on how precious a human life allowing us to be living only once appears to be, by which, in turn, all Christians can be guided to living a happy life. So long life is not a blessing any more. Rather it becomes a cause of suffering to a lot of the aged. In this sense, aging is not received positively. Among various problems in aging society, this thesis dealt with how to overcome the aged's alienation which was brought about by the loss of their roles in society and even in the church. And this thesis conducted a project to help them to recover their self confidence. This project conducted by recruiting 20 people among the aged who participated in the seminar for the aged, 'Beautiful Life.' They were composed of 10 men and 10 women. The project was planed of the service education for four weeks and the service practice for two weeks. And to see how they changed between before and after the project, this thesis surveyed them by several questions. Analyzing the survey, we could find that service was a good way to overcome the aged's alienation by the loss of their roles. The author led a launch team of forty people to create a new model by focusing on relevant, engaging, transformational worship, spiritual formation, a student/young adult focus, an innovative, agile leadership system focusing on relationships and utilization of gifts, and being a missional church. The author used surveys and interviews to ascertain the meaning images held not only for the individual members but also for pastors, visitors, and the congregation as an entity. Physiological and theological aspects of the processes of healing and wholeness were discussed. In addition nurses were polled concerning their opinions about the pastor's role in health care.  The surveys indicated that visiting, worship (prayer and sacraments) and counseling were the most important roles of the pastor in relation to a health crisis.  In a post test survey these activities were seen by the laity as a significant part of a person's treatment towards healing.
