The thesis tested was whether literature can be used more effectively than traditional Bible study to change attitudes of class participants. Three groups were tested: a class reading Will D Campbell's The Glad River, a Bible study group looking at biblical themes of community, and another class serving as a control group. An identical questionnaire was administered before and after the studies, and the responses were compared and evaluated. The findings were deemed to have supported the thesis."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125702521651200,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:16:19.949Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:17:09Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:23:48Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c7231c3b-2706-4c7b-825f-312514690aa9","accessControl_ssim":["31a8bb82-9c1f-469b-ac21-e6b10c815f9a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The common religious heritage of Jews and Christians: a course of study"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:17:08Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:50:59Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["4636d4e3-8b38-458c-a081-11e02888cdd1"],"hasLease_ssim":["e7c6536e-2b2e-454a-855d-35504f56e8c9"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Denise Dombkowski Hopkins"],"year_tesim":["1991"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min.
