The main thrust and purpose of this project is through analyzing actual events by employing the four D's framework, namely difference, disagreement, disappointment and distrust, in the backdrop of Chinese culture, to extract practical biblical lessons so as to avoid the conflicts at the source. The nature of conflict is carefully studied through an actual church conflict.  The case study method analyzes the conflict and describes positive and negative management principles.  These principles are then compared to other conflict management models.  The results of the study provide principles that develop a theology of conflict in the local church. Conflict management models are compared.
