Over 500 visitors pass through the church every year.  Most are seeking a new church.  In spite of this, attendance has remained flat for five years. Intentional involvement of new people should increase their chance of staying with the church.  Changes were made in purpose, vision, organization, and leadership. After one year, questionnaires were answered by those who stayed and left after attending for a while. These common variables that are repeated in one good preacher after another fall into three major headings: what is said (accuracy, relevance); how it is said (clarity, passion); and who says it (giftedness, credibility). Through the process of 'storyboarding,' a creative brainstorming exercise, these common variables were highlighted.  This led to the creation of an analytical tool that was used to evaluate sermons from 8 different preachers from various denominational backgrounds.  The analytical tool served to verify the effectiveness of those preachers who participated in the study. The manual, O Professor-Evangelista de Criancas: Fundamentos de uma Pedagogia Especializada (The Children's Evangelist: Fundamentals of a Specialized Pedagogy), is designed to be used as an in-service training manual.  The first section describes the project's parameters and the historical development of the Brazilian educational process.  Section 2 is the Portuguese manual, and section 3 is the English translation of that manual. The identity and characteristics of a children's Bible teacher, basic biblical/theological and pedagogical preparation, and factors which affect the growth and development of the Brazilian child are discussed. These sources reveal a learned lack of motivation, a fear of education and a tendency toward deception.  This study found solutions to these problems in secular leadership material and by examining the biblical record.  A review of this product will provide the reader with an overview of the concepts, skills and tools used in leadership and management. The nature of conflict is carefully studied through an actual church conflict.  The case study method analyzes the conflict and describes positive and negative management principles.  These principles are then compared to other conflict management models.  The results of the study provide principles that develop a theology of conflict in the local church. Conflict management models are compared.  The project's principles help churches change conflict into positive
