The project seeks to address the problem by presenting a seminar that equips pastors to integrate best practices in preaching and leadership. To ascertain these practices the author studied the biblical and theological foundations of preaching and leadership and historic and contemporary voices in the tradition of Reformed Presbyterianism and Westminster Theological Seminary. The principles and practices involved in growing organizational health, staying true to an organization's founding charter, and executing seamless leadership transitions date back to the ministries of Jesus and Paul and are increasingly expressed by the best authors on leadership today. Developed from a consideration of the theological topics of the headship of Jesus Christ and union with Christ, the project includes a biblical-theological study of the three offices of Christ as Prophet, Priest, and King. It isolates specific aspects for understanding church leadership as participating with Christ as he leads his church.
