Many children and youth affected by trauma (violence, homelessness, abuse, neglect, and/or natural disaster) do not have an opportunity for personal expression in a safe and/or spiritual environment. The participant-observation method of research was used to create a model connecting the creative arts, the church and community groups that work with at-risk children and youth by making collaborative story quilts. To deepen the project the author used theological and psychological materials such as the theory of Donald Capps, the spiritual theology of Ponticus Evagrius, and the psychology of Korean people.  As a result of that practice, we obtained encouraging results.  When we heard others' inner stories, we used to hastily analyze and judge them.  But now we try to listen and sympathize. The particular focus of the paper is finding resources to deal with remaining trauma after the conflict has been officially declared settled.  This paper offers the framework of illness narrative as a resource for understanding and healing church conflict.  Resources from biblical and theological sources are also explored.
