A lack of space limits the number of student seats available, while tuition costs restrict access to families able to afford sky-high rates. Meanwhile, childcare teachers are paid low salaries for their services, and children living in poverty fall farther and farther behind. Such a challenge threatens not only a child’s livelihood, but also the congregation’s vision “that all may know God’s love.” This project will examine how the principles of adaptive leadership might reframe the congregation’s missiological understanding and practices via the work of education. Fewer givers gave more: annual per capita giving increased 25%.  Responses to 3,034 congregational surveys indicated positive correlation between increased generosity and stewardship leadership, spiritual nurture, social justice involvement, and stewardship best practices.  Congregations where givers and revenue increased, with individual annual giving over {dollar}1,000, more often engaged all of these strategies.  Congregations with decreasing revenue were least likely to use any of them. This project questioned whether the Beulah Land Community Church could intervene and interrupt the cycles of destruction of a four-generation family. I propose that the theology of Black liberation is a good theoretical place to begin to think about how to achieve such a goal.
