A project involving the use of sermon feedback groups set up in six local churches is described. The sermon feedback experience is analyzed from both the perspective of the clergy and lay participants. Although the project's original purpose was not to convince that Dionysius was the initial Athenian bishop, convert of Paul (Acts 17:34), it emerged from the actual writings and early attestations that no other chronology was as consistent. There is strong possibility that his given Christian name during the Arcanum period was Theophilus (viz his writings). His mentor, John the Evangelist, he called 'Theologus' or 'Hierotheus'.  (Ignatius was called 'Theophorus', etc). 'Tools' for evaluating that premise included: critical reviews by participants and observers, certain elements of black theology, and a Christian transformist's view of culture. The primary concern of the research was to ascertain current levels of moral development and to determine if the curricula in the three schools studied was effective in meeting the moral developmental needs of students.  Data was obtained from the results of the Kohlberg Moral Development Test, Form A. The results of this thesis shed light on the effectiveness of ethical teaching within the school systems studied.
