satisfaction in remarried relationships. This study was conducted utilizing that qualitative research methodology of the ethnographic interview. Dyadic Adjustment Scale, and the Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory provided scales to measure marital interaction processes and marital satisfaction. The objective of this study was to understand the experiences of those couples in long-term remarriages and the demonstrations of satisfaction as related to marriage relationship. My spiritual autobiography in this portfolio is a testimony of such a journey toward Christlikeness, a journey guided by God‚Äôs grace. Out of the various spiritual practices that exist to build up Christlikeness in believers, I consider silence a central discipline in my spiritual life. This led me to learn the fundamentals of silence and other spiritual formation methods to train myself and be transformed inwardly. I described these fundamentals as a model for spiritual growth in this portfolio. My experience of the beauty of silence and related spiritual practices also led to my desire to convey my learning and experience to the Cambodian people in my missionary work. I prepared a spiritual discipline program for Cambodian church leaders. This program introduced and fostered the ability to practice silence through examen and prayer walking. I then examined how this program affected participants. Thefirst phase involved researching the field of team ministry leadership to identify theessential skills of team ministry leadership. During the second phase of curriculumdesign, I utilized the findings of the research phase to develop a curriculum teaching theessential skills of team ministry leadership. I employed the curriculum to equip selectedadults with the essential skills of team ministry leadership to accomplish the third phaseof the project. Expert evaluators reviewed the research and curriculum designcomponents utilizing a rubric for each component. I first determined MCBC’s current discipleship practices by means of a Spiritual Growth Assessment and then compared those current practices with existing discipleship strategies to identify the best discipleship practices. I then created a strategy team composed of church members of various ages and their purpose was to discover the best discipleship strategy for the church based on the best discipleship practices identified. The strategy was thenpresented before the church for approval. The project director accomplished this in four steps. Step one was to gather the demographics of Lee County, Alabama, to better understand the need for age-graded discipleship. Step two was to explore the existing models and methods of discipleship to find best practices. Step three was to develop a discipleship strategy for the NextGen ministries at First Baptist Church of Opelika. A strategic planning team was used to develop the strategy. At the conclusion of step three,a comprehensive strategy, including a mission statement, vision, core values, milestones,and key events, was developed. The final step was to present the strategy to the Executive Team at First Baptist Church of Opelika for evaluation. The project directordeveloped an annotated bibliography and report of best practices after conductingresearch in the field of disciple making. The reports of areas of focus and best practiceswere used to lead the Libby Baptist Church leadership team to develop a strategy fordisciple making.
