It reintroduces today's audience to Sayyed Hossein Nasr's argument that the environmental crisis is a symptom of humanity's spiritual crisis is due to the destruction and subjugation of nature as a consequence of human kind's estranged relationship with God. Nasr's solution to this spiritual crisis is to reconnect with the sacredness of nature and, ultimately, resuscitate a relationship with the Creator.
