What pastors and other church leaders now require are theo-poetic forums, in which we might explore the words, images and metaphors that influence the way we do ministry in the postmodern world.  The biblical text itself yields an abundance of possible literary and mythic associations -- many of which have compelling resonance with those who feel estranged and alienated from the institutional church community.  This project offers analysis of truly 'raw data,' which does not include numerical gauges and statistical percentages. The most insightful data in the case of the Crossroads Presbyterian Church of Limerick, Pennsylvania, arises from the primordial creative capacity of those who respond to passages like Matthew 13:52 and testify, in word and in deed, to the Truth of the ever-elusive and unfolding Gospel Story. Culture can pose a stumbling block insofar as it directs how we communicate, think, behave, and perceive things. The first generation Korean pastors experience racial and cultural collisions when they serve cross-racial/cross-cultural appointments. With adequate preparation, however, cross-racially/cross-culturally appointed clergy to this service can provide the bridge between two cultures. They can mediate between the cultures. Data was gained from on-site visits to over twenty ministries in recreational areas from Maine to California.  These ministries were then presented according to their primary goals: worship, evangelism, counseling, and social action. A discussion of evangelistic strategies in recreational areas recommends the use of friendship, proclamation, and contact evangelism. Findings from on-site visits and research into evangelistic strategies are joined together in plans for establishing an evangelistic ministry among recreational areas in Maine. The results of the project were: the founding of an international solidarity commission with sugar workers at a conference involving 40 participants from over 20 countries; the uncovering of a ministry of defending the workers; and the articulation of a new way of
