This study is part of their journey. The author examines the Diocese of Taita Taveta - geography, history and culture as well as the history of the Anglican Church and East African Revival. It presents church statistics from 1991-2000 and surveys three distinct groups of Anglicans: a- Anglicans (Waangilikana Damu), Irregular Anglicans (Waangilikana Jina) and Anglicans 'in diaspora'. Analysis indicates important pastoral factors to be addressed if growth is to be accelerated. Project presents theological reflection and pastoral response to the data. Twenty theological students from five nations in Eastern Africa participated in the training.  The author's teaching methods included experiential learning techniques.  He administered the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the LIFO Survey to facilitate greater self-understanding.  He used evaluation forms and various other instruments to help the participants realize their strengths and weaknesses as leaders.  The author concludes that effects on the students' skills were in the cognitive areas of self-awareness and understanding of effective principles and practices of leadership. Many barriers, however, hinder both an effective communication and a proper understanding of the gospel.  The barriers exist both in the cultural back-ground of Western missionaries and the Africans' worldview.  While some missionaries have studied the African worldview, many have not spent enough time learning about their own cultural assumptions.  This project deals specifically with the issues related to the sharing of God's love in Africa.  It deals with the barriers missionaries bring with them as well as those that await on the field.  One basic premise is that the romanticized concept of love missionaries bring is totally different from the utilitarian view of love Africans hold.  Westerners value love for love's sake.  Africans understand and express appreciation in how something or someone has been useful to them. Misunderstanding on this point causes harm in communication and relationships.  The purpose of the project is to train a group of missionaries in the concept of God's love as a demonstrated love and evaluate their use of this terminology in
