The author also surveyed pastors and church leaders from accross the United States and Canada to see what they are presently doing with the event. The author proposes that the fundamental secular belief that there is no external being called 'God' is consistent with the underlying assumptions of contemporary western culture, and must be seriously addressed by the religious community if evangelism of our culture is to be effective.
