Despite this increase, faith-based resources created for children with ASD are scarce. In response, this research project reviewed existing sociological, psychological and theological literature-accompanied by data obtained from a parent focus group, expert review, and professional feedback-to create a faith-based storybook using communication techniques specified for children with ASD. The participants spent three months acquiring the basic knowledge of autism spectrum disorders. They spent another three months compiling the long-rage plan based on their reflections from the reading and workshops, the feedback from parents who have autistic kid(s), the responses of eighty-nine surveyees, and the insight gained from the analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats while adopting a new ministry.
