With two different languages and cultures, Korean immigrant churches, have faced the two-congregation situation in other countries. This results in two congregations in the same church. Library research on the Filipinos in Hawaii, exegetical works on selected biblical passages, and community and pastors' surveys were done.  The evaluation of the survey of Kalihi Baptist Church indicated that the English-speaking members preferred an integrated Filipino congregation.  The non-English speaking Filipinos preferred to have their own services. Pastors and staff of the Hawaii Baptist Convention want to see homogenous Filipino congregations. In this study, the background of Korean immigration to Austrlia is discussed and the characteristics of Korean immigrants are discovered.  A specific research into the Korean community in the Brisbane metropolitan area is carried out identifying their basic problems and pressing needs.  In order to minister effectively, a theology of immigration is formulated and strategies are developed along the lines of the 'Sa-rang Bang' movement for self-actualization, the 'Chi-geh Koon' model of burden sharing and bilingual/bicultural ministry.
