This study focused on three key areas that affect how pastors minister to the parents of apostate emerging adults: the religious lives of emerging adults, biblical and theological concerns regarding baptism, apostasy, and covenantal status of children, and policies churches have employed to minister to apostate young adults and their parents. This study utilized a qualitative design using semi-structured interviews with Reformed pastors in the Northwestern United States. This thesis suggests several approaches to equipping and empowering young adults to have confidence in their own faith narratives, and then to share those stories with others. Through qualitative research methods, six successful churches were analyzed. The successful strategies discovered included a commitment to building relationships with young men, often through sports and recreational activities, the development of various types of men-only study groups and adjustments to the style of worship and
