A pretest and posttest assessed the level of well-being and the variety of active connections. The paired samples t-test lacked statistical significance. Ethnographic interviews assessed the change in personal connection and a reflection paper assessed a participant's motivation to extend this ministry. The writer posed the following research question: What role, if any, does exercise and nutrition play regarding wholistic living? The writer researched and discussed the degree of fitness from four different perspectives: mental, physical, social, and spiritual. Having used the quantitative and pro-active research methods, the writer established a fitness program in which participants committed to exercising at least three times a week for a minimum of thirty minutes per workout session. Findings from this study did not show that emotional expressiveness played an important role in marital satisfaction among the overseas Chinese subjects.  However, feelings of ambivalence over emotional expressiveness strongly predicted marital distress for the Chinese female subjects. The project finds that residents see staff as a definite resource for spiritual well-being, not limiting this role to clergy. The project finds no significant differences among the three groups of pastors regarding religious and existential well-being and use of self-care support systems, nor are there significant correlations among the pastor groups with respect to spiritual well-being and self-care support systems.
