Research was compiled from various contexts of churches and ministries. The transmission of this information was in the form of a workshop to a specific enlisted group of church leaders to equip them with models of adult discipleship they can employ in their ministry context. Twelve church leaders participated in the seminar. Barriers often keep the church from this natural growth. The purpose of this project is to train key leaders of New Life Baptist Church to identify these barriers and make plans to remove them. Through a leadership workshop and follow-up meetings leaders were prepared to use studies of the church and communtiy to arrive at detailed plans to address the brriers found. The equipping program model included a training seminar that equipped a select group of members in responsible evangelism and subsequent discipling relationships for the purpose of spiritual maturation. The project included the creation of a curriculum that functioned as a training tool to equip members in disciple-making. The seminar consisted of six sessions conducted over three days within a retreat setting.
