The labyrinth can be set up and run in any church no matter how large or small.  it is unique compared to other socio-psychological intervention devices in that it requires no expensive professional psychologist. clinician or therapist to run. The study tries to ascertain whether experiences on these two different labyrinths are equal in quality. Is a walk on a contemporary labyrinth commensurate with a walk on an archetypal labyrinth as a path to inner reflection, healing, transformation, and contemplation of God? The study is not conclusive, but it does illustrate the fact that each individual labyrinth walk as with each individual's path is different. Demographic and congregational studies (including census data, system inventories, history, and world view of theology) determined suitability for the church's context and identity. After congregational approval and placement, the minister gathered a support group to plan workshops, Lenten walks, and to evaluate use. Pre-testing and post-testing, a spiritual awareness assessment, and weekly journal entries were utilized to evaluate spiritual maturity and awareness of God.
