The project focuses on men, but in the light of the entry of women into ministry.  Drawing on personal experiences and the observations of numerous commentators, the project concludes that the fulness of the minister's humanity, including weaknesses and failures, must be honestly and constructively engaged to enable the establishment of meaningful relationships and powerful agency for change in a parish setting."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133081795559424,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:13:37.374Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:30:59Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:17:06Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"387ada71-f490-4cb4-9071-8c5dc95b2ddb","accessControl_ssim":["59799151-2bed-405f-a162-24845437fc7e"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Christian identity"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:30:58Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:46:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["f2de0b33-7056-44f1-8038-bbb34b19b4c5"],"hasLease_ssim":["7033e4ae-7f77-421b-b27e-5d21da9037de"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"advisor_tesim":["John M Billinsky"],"year_tesim":["1982"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Laurel Valetta Greenwood"],"publisher_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"subject_tesim":["Identity (Psychology)","Self-actualization"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This paper examines the concept of self-identity and the ways in which the concept developed.  The traditional psychological understanding of self-identity has been that one develops an identity through commitments.  This has been opposed by those who understand identity to be developed by avoiding commitments and the obligations. Indeed, the necessity for developing an identity at all has been challenged by the concept of self-actualization.  The paper examines Christian doctrine concerning self-identity and self-actualization, what it is and how it is developed. The concept of commitment will be re-introduced as basic to self-identity.  Relationship and freedom are examined using traditional psychological theory and Christian understanding.  It also deals with pastoral identity and relationships with others in helping them develop identity and personal meaning."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133304031805440,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:17:09.315Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":2,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"David A Usher","hits":1,"label":"David A Usher"},{"value":"Laurel Valetta Greenwood","hits":1,"label":"Laurel Valetta Greenwood"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Self-actualization","hits":2,"label":"Self-actualization"},{"value":"Clergy--Psychology","hits":1,"label":"Clergy--Psychology"},{"value":"Identity (Psychology)","hits":1,"label":"Identity (Psychology)"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":2,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Andover Newton Theological School","hits":2,"label":"Andover Newton Theological School"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":2,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1982","hits":1,"label":"1982"},{"value":"1996","hits":1,"label":"1996"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Andover Newton Theological School","hits":2,"label":"Andover Newton Theological School"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":2,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Andover Newton Theological School","hits":2,"label":"Andover Newton Theological School"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":2,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":2,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
