The project provided the added benefit of increasing the project director's knowledge of confessions and catechisms and more importantly his knowledge of Baptist doctrines, as well as increasing the project director's skills in the area of research and writing. The project model shows Southern Baptist pastors how to develop a theology of worship that is Christ-centered and biblically based.  It also demonstrates how the theology of worship can facilitate pastoral leadership in worship and help reduce conflict over worship styles.
