It examines the various Christian attitudes toward war (crusades, pacifism, just-war, and nuclear pacifism).  The report outlines historical, biblical, and theological bases for the various Christian responses.  Methodology includes research, teaching five fifty-minute seminary classes, written evaluations by students and an official observer, and critical reflective action.  The project shows positive results, raises interesting questions, and highlights some moral ethical implications for future study and Christian action. The project involved a five week study on nuclear war, out of which a proposal was presented to the general board of the congregation that Rush Creek Christian Church become a 'shalom congregation'. This is a national program of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) which involves a congregation committing one year of making the issue of peace the center of their worship, study, and action.  The motion to become a 'shalom congregation' failed.
