The study proposed a pragmatic approach of engagement with and education of the youth. The methodology combined direct instruction for youth on Islam's nonviolent beliefs with group activities to encourage community cohesion. The author compared and analyzed a pre-program written survey with a final survey. The author first heightened parishioners interest in personal evangelism, then demonstrated that personal evangelism was biblical and created a six-part training program to equip them on how to do personal evangelism. Participants were then given the opportunity to implement the principles they learned in order to determine the effectiveness of this strategy. The study demonstrated that personal evangelism is an effective strategy to grow a congregation. Implementation occurred on the Westside of Detroit, Michigan. The mixed research utilized: (1) participant observations; (2) focus groups; (3) survey and questionnaires; and (4) data collection from interviews, newspapers and published reports. The findings clarified approaches for community engagement and isolated barriers. The summary conclusion supports the church, collaborative partners and residents' engagement in community events that may significantly reduce youth violence. Using a small group format, this parish-based project provides an antidote for this troubling situation through a program to highlight the spiritual potency of preparing meals and dining in common. The study was conducted among 35 priests and 65 non-clergy who congregate within 16 parishes of the diocese. Focus is laid on key factors leading to the actual movement of congregants from one church to another. Each of these factors is analyzed to show its impact on congregations' response to keeping within the fellowship(s). The pre- and post-training worksheets were compared to determine the trainee's understanding and application of the principles. Yet, through video partnerships, these churches have a chance to be or become missional. The nature of these rural video partnerships has been to help existing but dying rural churches find support and facilitate its health and life. This project surveyed past and present video partners to help determine whether the partnerships were or are achieving those goals. The findings showed that each church still in partnership has found stability and a sense of purpose that, while still needing greater clarification, has them poised for further missional focus and
